The Draenei is a ejected Ereder that fled 25000 years ago from Argus, their home town in WoW
After a while they found a World called “Dreanor, the land of outcast. There they lived in peace and traded with the Orcs which were living there too. After the Destroyage of the Dark Portal, Dreanor broke apart, therefor some Draenei fell into the Dark Corruption, the Shattered. The other not Corrupted Draenei ended up after a Sabotage act of the Blood Elves with their Ship called “Exodar” on Azeroth. Since of Burning Crusade they count to the Race Group “Alliance”.

The character you can create in World of Warcraft has got a race where he comes from. The races are splitted in two different factions, The Horde and The Alliance. The Alliance is within the five races of the Humans, Dwarfs, Gnomes, Night-Elves and the Draenei. The Horde races are the Orcs, Tauren, Trolls, Undead and Blood-Elves.

Every race has got its own special-traits. Every race can choose different kind of classes for each character. Each land in World of Warcraft can be friendly or hostile to you for one of the fractions you choose. So choose your race seriously, because you must be happy with it and the race must fit to the class you choose.
